First Responders are often the first people on the scene of an overdose. SOS Berks has created a series of three 10-minute videos aimed at helping first responders gain a better understanding of the programs and resources available in Berks County to help people struggling with opioid use disorder. The videos focus on three resources:
- Naloxone: This is a life saving drug that can reverse an overdose caused by an opioid drug
- The Warm Hand Off Program: This program is provided at local hospitals to help get people into treatment if they are struggling with addiction
- Treatment & Recovery Resources: Everyone’s pathway to recovery is different. Berks County has a variety of resources to help people get the treatment they need and maintain recovery.
