Health To Go Vending Machine – Coming Soon to Berks County

Berks County will soon introduce a new Health To Go vending machine

The new machine is expected to be launching May 7, 2024.

Health To Go is a community-based vending machine designed to dispense health items for free. SOS Berks has partnered with Penn State College of Medicine to bring a new Health To Go vending machine to Berks County.

Plans call for the machine to be placed in the lobby of the Reading YMCA on Washington St., where it can be easily accessed.

Items may include: Narcan® Opioid Overdose Reversal kits, Deterra® medication disposal bags, personal care items, condoms, and pregnancy tests.

The machine is being developed through SMRT1 Vending Technologies. It will feature a large front touchscreen that can also connect users to community services and
resources. Whether you need help with finding food, shelter, medical care, social services, or even peer recovery coaches, the vending machines can point you to the existing services closest to you.
