Health To Go is a community-based vending machine designed to dispense health items for free. SOS Berks has partnered with Penn State College of Medicine, the Reading YMCA and the Council on Chemical Abuse to bring the new Health To Go vending machine to Berks County.
Location: The machine is located in the lobby of the Reading YMCA, located at 631 Washington St. in Reading. It is available 24/7.
Items available: Narcan® Opioid Overdose Reversal kits, Deterra® medication disposal bags, personal care items, wound care kits, condoms, pregnancy tests, drug checking strips and more. Click here for a complete list
Cost: All items are free
Who can use it: This machine is available to the entire community. All are welcome to dispense items at no cost.
About Health to Go: The machine was developed through SMRT1 Vending Technologies. It features a a large front touchscreen that can also connect users to community services and resources such as food pantries, shelters, medical care, social services and peer recovery coaches.
