Save a Life Day 2026
SOS Berks members are invited join as partners for Save a Life Day in Berks County on September 24. On Save a Life Day, organizations are encouraged to distribute free Narcan as part of a nationwide day of action that promotes year-round widespread naloxone access as one solution to the overdose crisis. Each year, on the fourth Thursday of September, communities across the U.S. set up tables, train neighbors, and give away free naloxone.
About Berks Save a Life Day
- Goal is to distribute as much free naloxone to the community as possible
- DDAP is the PA state organizer and the Council on Chemical Abuse is the Berks County organizer
- We are inviting any SOS Berks members to participate on this day as a “partner” to give out free Narcan
About Being a Save a Life Day Partner
- Your organization will be listed as a pickup location on the SOS Berks and COCA websites for anyone to stop by and get free Narcan, and will be included on the interactive map on the Save A Life Day website
- You choose the time frame where people could pick up on that day
- Someone will need to be on hand to give information about Narcan and answer any questions
- Prior to the day, you will be provided with a supply of Narcan, informational literature to hand out and a yard sign to put out front of your location
- There will be a free virtual Narcan training before the event for anyone who wants to participate.
